It’s simple. A day to write.


WHAT HAPPENS

1. Bring some creative writing you want to do
2. Share a little about it with like-minded others
3. Get on with it! Writing time in a supportive and stimulating environment

Writing at any stage or in any form – poetry, prose, script, creative non-fiction – welcome.
For those with a specific project in hand or anyone who simply wants time to write.


For focus, inspiration and motivation


INCLUDES:

– useful handouts and writing exercises
– information on writing and publishing
– peer support and tutor guidance on hand
– short 1-2-1 session with tutor
– steady supply of tea, coffee and homemade buns!


VENUE & FACILITIES

Todfellows Hall, Oxford Street, Todmorden, OL14 5PU
Todfellows Hall is a lovely light wheelchair accessible venue in the centre of Todmorden. It is near a car park, street parking and the main road for bus services. It is close to the canal for a short walk or breathing space during breaks. The train station is less than 10 minutes walk away. Todmorden is 40 minutes from Manchester and 1 hour from Leeds by train. The venue is all on ground level with wheelchair access and wheelchair accessible toilet.

Writing Days in Todmorden run 4 times a year. Come to one for a kickstart or more through the year.


COST

£40
The Day costs £40 which includes the Day itself, exercises and handouts, tutor support, and drinks and snacks including Emma’s homemade buns with vegan and gluten free options! Lunch is not included. There are shops and cafes nearby or you can bring your own lunch. The kitchen has a kettle, fridge and microwave.
Deposits and payments are non-refundable. If for any reason a Day is cancelled you will be refunded in full.
